The Texas Ramp Project builds wheelchair ramps for people who cannot afford them.
You can help provide safe access to the home of a disabled person who would otherwise be homebound. Your tax deductable donation will be processed through Network for Good, a trusted third party organization that processes secure, electronic donations on our behalf.
Please click on the button below and you will be taken to our dedicated page on their website where you can make a donation using a credit card or PayPal. In addition, you may elect to specify where your donation is used and if you would like to make a donation in someone's name.
Contributions of all sizes are welcome, but some folks ask for guidance:
The average ramp is 24 ft long. Our ramps cost about $23/foot as an installed cost across Texas even in remote towns where few medical services exist. A donation can be directed at buying a certain amount of linear ramp feet or simply made out for a dollar amount that suits the donor's budget. However you respond we will work hard to effectively use your donation to help those in need. More than 90% of donated funds will be used to buy lumber, equip team leaders and to train volunteers.
Many ramps are to ease the transition over a door threshold - a few inches' bump that requires a ramp that's a foot long or less. A $20 contribution covers our entire material and overhead costs to free someone from their home. The point is, of course, that EVERY contribution makes a significant impact.
To minimize overhead and adminstrative costs, all of our local Texas Ramp Project chapters share one accounting office, in Richardson, TX. If you'd prefer your contribution be targeted to a specific city, simply indicate as such and we'll direct the funds appropriately. We're also in need of funds that can be spent "anywhere in Texas" so we can expand our services to areas we're not yet covering.
Donations can be sent to:

To designate your contribution to a specific city, simply write that location in the memo line of your check. If you don't designate a specific location, we'll use your funds where they're needed most.
